Mandarin

Mandarin oil is cold-pressed from the rind of Citrus reticulata, primarily grown in Italy and Brazil. It's the sweetest and softest of the citrus oils — less sharp than lemon, less bitter than grapefruit, with a candy-like, almost floral sweetness. Mandarin is the opening of Thierry Mugler Angel (mandarin + bergamot + chocolate), Atelier Cologne Orange Sanguine, and many modern feminine compositions. Tangerine and clementine are similar; satsuma and 'green mandarin' are sharper and greener.
