François Demachy
French · b. 1949
Signature
Bold, clean, and built for projection without losing structure.
François Demachy was Dior's in-house perfumer from 2006 to 2021 and the nose behind Sauvage — the best-selling men's fragrance in the world at the time of his retirement. A Grasse native, Demachy oversaw Dior's investment in its own jasmine and rose fields in Grasse and pushed the house toward more natural materials. His style is bold, clean, and projection-forward.
